Card Design: Imagine That...Jars of Cheer

http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/index.html
Hello everyone.  I'm here today to present my final Imagine That! Digis by Kris project for February.  If you missed last week's IT DbK post, be sure to click HERE to catch up on all that is new and exciting this month over at the Imagine That! blog.

Right now, it is time to check out my latest project...

General Details:

  • I only managed to get two other Christmas cards done this month so I figured I better take the opportunity to get another one into the pot to help me avoid the yearly Christmas Card Panic that I seem to fall into.  With this card, I have surpassed my goal of two for February.
Christmas Cards to date for 2015:  7

FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Jars of Cheer: Once again, I've chosen to work with the coloured version for this project.  You can't beat the coloured versions for helping to save quite a bit of time.  You'll always find great value over in the IT DbyK store.  With one image offered in a variety of styles both coloured and line drawing, plus a choice of sentiments to choose from, you get a significant return for the money you put out.  Especially right now when everything in the store has been reduced in price.  Right now you can get this set for only $2.25 reduced from $3.50!  Clicking on the name or watermark below will take you to the set's location in the store.

Embellishment:
  • This glitter flourish is Recollection's brand and was purchased at Michael's.

INSIDE
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • I've been wanting to use this sentiment for quite a long while and I thought that even though I'm not actually using candy canes that the 'twist' still applied.  Only in this case it is a peppermint twist.  This wonderful sentiment was created by Paulette from Create with TLC.  I picked it up quite a long time ago as a freebie.  For more wonderful freebies, click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and for some awesome sets to purchase, click HERE to go to the store.

Paper Products:
  • Card, image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • All three designer papers are from Recollection's Bright Christmas paper pad.  They were all in my scrap file so it was nice to use up some bits and pieces.
  • The shimmery cardstock used as matting is from Michael's open stock scrapbook paper.

Card Design: From the Heart Stamps February Challenge

http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/blog/
It is time to post my project for the February, From the Heart Stamps (FTHS) progressive stamp of the month challenge.  I was a bit worried I wasn't going to get it done but thankfully I pulled it off with a couple days to spare.

In order to enter the progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  While you are there, have a look around.  They have some really awesome images.

Here are my card and details.  I hope I haven't forgotten anything important...

General Information:

  • To help inspire you, I have created a simple, love you card.  Although this one definitely has a humourous touch.  Another one to add to the pile I'm making for the hubs this year, just because, and this month's challenge provided me with the perfect opportunity to continue.  So, on cue...

Wonderful Wednesdays--Offerings for February

If you are new to my blog and want to know how this concept got started, you can find the original post by clicking HERE.

Hello peeps.  As it turns out, I didn't get my IT project posted yesterday.  Unfortunately, I just ran out of time so I'll be posting it later in the week instead.  Along with doing some behind the scenes work for the challenge blogs I own or co-coordinate, I also needed to get some stuff done for my design teams and also wanted to make sure that I got something ready in time for this month's Wonderful Wednesday offering.

Thankfully, I've managed to pull something together for this last Wednesday of the month to offer up for the February kit.  If you are new to my blog in the past year, you can find other items for the February kit by clicking on the respective links below:

2013

  • Wordart:  Click HERE.
  • Pink heats paper:  Click HERE.
  • Swirly hearts background:  Click HERE.
  • Love/heart journaling cards in three colours + bonus circular stamp:  Click HERE.
Please note that the quality of my creations offered up in the beginning months of 2013 may not be up to standard as I was just starting out in design.

2014

  • Ornate lock paper, key paper and a heart ribbon in two colours:  Click HERE.

And that is where last year's offerings end I'm afraid.  I had intentions to do another post in Feb. but it just never happened, then I just became even busier and overwhelmed and that was the end of that.  Hopefully trying to only do it monthly this year, I'll fair better.

Now I never did give a name to the February Kit, so how about we call it 'Love Truly'.  Here are a set of four 'Beautiful Brads' you can add to your February kit...
https://app.box.com/s/jssycmoexxnv963sq9g7hlzhlfa4tyyx

These digital brads are 214 x 214 pixels (a little under 3/4 in squared), in png format and published at 300 ppi.  This time around I've offered them up in gold.  Hopefully, in future February offerings, I'll add silver, bronze and other metals to give you a variety of selections to work with.  Credits:  I have used resources from Pixel Scrapper and Me Oh My Graphics (full credit info in file).  To grab these brads, click the download button to be taken to a download location.  In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Now since I offered up a bonus date stamp in January of last year, I figured I'd continue so that you have this particular date stamp for the rest of the months as well.  You have 12 circular ones (if you collected each month in 2013), so it would be odd to have just one horizontal one for January.  You can just left click on this one to bring it up in the lightbox and then right click to save it in its original size which is 3600 x 192 pixels (12 inches x .64 inches).   Sorry that the colour clashes with the orange background.  One of these days, I plan to change my blog jacket but first I need to find the perfect background and find some time to do so.  It will look better when you bring it up into the lightbox.

Stay tuned for a new Wonderful Wednesday post coming your way soon!

Until next time,

Card Design: A Purrfect Birthday with Nicecrane Designs

http://nicecranedesigns.com/
Hello!  I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend.  Today I had a dental appointment so it is a good thing that I can type and don't have to talk or you'd definitely have a hard time understanding since I had to have two separate freezings.  Talking about freezing, I hope you are no where near as cold as I am.  The hubs was kind to me and stopped for hot chocolate on the way home.  I was soooooo cold and after an hour of being back home my poor little toes still haven't thawed out.  With the wind-chill factor making the temperature feel like it is in the lower minus 30s Celsius, it is no wonder.  Hopefully I'll warm up soon.  Typing should help!

Today I am posting a special card that I have created using an image from the Nursery Lamp collage sheet from Nicecrane Designs The reason it is special is that it is meant for the most important woman in my life:  my momma.  Unfortunately, my momma became quite ill last week from the flu or a virus and it took an awful lot out of her.  In fact she ended up passing out twice.  Then, my poor father picked it up.  I hate being so far away and knowing there is no one to take care of them during times like this.  Thankfully though they are both on their way to recovery.

Digital Image Details:
  • Nursery Lamp CS:  For this card I used the image you see in the middle of the preview below.  My momma loves cats, so this was the purrfect choice for my card.  Click on the name or the watermark below to take you to its location in the store.

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • Both of these sentiments were created by Paulette from Create with TLC.  The first one is from a new set that I acquired called, Sweet Sentiments, Birthday Digi Set.  You can find it in the store by clicking on the preview below.  The sentiment I used on the inside is a freebie that I picked up a while back.  For more great freebies, click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and to purchase other sets, click HERE to go to the store.

Paper Products:
  • Card base and matting behind sentiment: Ummmm...it was downstairs in my stash so I can't remember if it is from a Recollection's set or Crafts brand.  Sorry about that.
  • Image and sentiment bases:  Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
  • Designer paper is from the Recollection's Paisley and Damask paper pad.

Before I go...
Once again I thought I would share another wonderful set available at Nicecrane's Designs.  Sticking with the theme of children, I wanted to show you this adorable Sunbonnet Babies set.  This is a digital stamp sheet so you will receive black and white digi stamps.  I'm hoping to be creating a card with a Sunbonnet Baby from a different set very soon.  They are just so cute.  Be sure to go and check them out while you are at the store (c
lick on image below to head to its location).

Don't forget, to stay current on ALL the latest releases and to check out the fabulous inspiration from my fellow DT members, be sure to head over to the Nicecrane Designs blog.

I am so happy that you had a chance to pop by and check out my latest creation.  If things go as planned I should be back tomorrow with my latest Imagine That post, then it will be time for the next Wonderful Wednesday creation so I better get moving.

Card Design: Imagine That...Chloe's Heart Balloons

http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/index.html
Hello everyone.  I'm here today to present my second Imagine That! Digis by Kris project for February.  But before I get to it I just wanted to share some of what has been happening over at the Imagine That! blog these past couple weeks.

Free Digi Paper

  • First up, if you like working with digital papers, Kris has a really sweet Glitter Hearts paper available that you can find HERE. I don't know how much longer it will be available, so be sure to go and grab it now.  If you do, don't forget to leave Kris some love.

New Section in the Store

  • Kris has been hard at work creating some alphabets and has even added a new section to the store to showcase them.  Check out these great new designs perfect for scrappers and card makers alike.  You can find each of them in the Alphabet and Word Art section of the store by clicking HERE.

Store Wide Sale on Now

  •  Yup, you read that correctly.  Kris has everything in the store on sale right now.  All of the sets that were originally priced at $3.00 are now on sale for $1.95.   Digi paper sets selling for $2.50 have also been reduced to $1.95.  Everything else is on sale too so now is the absolute perfect time to pick up that set you've been wanting.
  • Don't forget that Imagine That! Digis by Kris is still selling world-wide.  US residents who make a purchase will receive instant downloads.  Unfortunately due to the whole EU VAT issue, non-US residents can no longer download instantly BUT they can still make a purchase directly through Kris.  You can find out all the details over at the STORE.

Well that is what is new and exciting with Imagine That!  Of course we still have our February challenges going on and you can find the links you need at the bottom of this post.  Right now, it is time to check out my latest project...

General Details:

  • I decided to make another birthday card.  I think I might send this one to my surrogate niece whose birthday is on March 2nd.
  • I don't know what it is lately, but I'm wanting to experiment more and more with washi tapes.  I've collected several over the year so it is time to start using them.  I just love this tape in particular.  It  almost looks like the lace on the bottom of Chloe's dress, making it perfect for this card.
