Card Design: Deedee's Digi of the Month Challenge...March

Progressive Freebie Challenge!
Unfortunately, I didn't get this post done yesterday as planned.  My time management skills are really sucking at the moment.  So, before I get busy with other work today I decided to first post my project for the Digi of the Month Challenge taking place over at Deedee's Digis.
In order to enter the progressive challenge, you must either have received the latest image by having participated in the previous month or you can buy the stamp for the current month's challenge.  Everyone who enters and follows the rules is a winner because you automatically get the stamp for the next month's challenge.  Stop by the site and check out the rules for yourself.  Be sure to check out the store while you are there too.  Currently there are a few sets available for free and of course there are some wonderful ones available for purchase in the store.  Due to the new EU VAT tax, Deedee's store has been split into two sections so make sure you head to the right section of the store if you plan on making a purchase.
Right now it is time to check out the wonderful set participants got to work with this month...

I love this set due to its versatility.  You can make everything from an 'Easter card' to a 'birthday card' to a simple 'love card'.  You could even make a 'thinking of you', 'get well' or 'pulling for you' card.  So many wonderful options are available in the Right on Track set.  Of course, each set comes with both outline and coloured versions to provide you with some variety.  If you did not participate in last month's challenge, you can still purchase this set for just $1.25 during the month of March at the store. You can find it HERE if you are a resident of the European Union, or find it HERE if you are NOT a resident of the EU.

Here are my card and details...

General Information:
  • This card is for my cousin's stepson, Alex, who just celebrated his birthday last week.
  • For some reason this month, I've really been into simply layering bold colours together instead of using designer paper.  I just think it looks sharp.  I've got a couple more cards coming out later this month that follow this idea.
FRONT
Digital Image Details:
  • Right on Track:  You can find this set in the store.  Details above.  I used the coloured version from the set to once again help save me some time.

INSIDE

OVERALL
Digital Sentiment Details:
  • Both the sentiment on the front and the one on the inside are from the Right on Track set listed at the top of the blog.
Paper Products:
  • Card base:  Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, red.
  • Matting layers: The blue layer is from Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, south beach collection.  The green layer is from Michael's open stock scrapbook paper.
  • Image and sentiment base: Michael's Recollection's Cardstock, white.
Challenges I am entering:
Other challenges I hope to enter...

Well guys, another one is done.  Woop, woop!  Just two more progressive creations to go and six for DT work to get done by the end of March.  Plus there is still this month's Wonderful Wednesday creation, some sponsorship and team management stuff, plus some promo work to accomplish all in the next 11 days!  Wish me luck!!!  I'm really going to need it!!!

Until next time or my emotional breakdown, whichever comes first,

What a fun card you've made with Deedee's featured digi set for March! I love the doodling around the edges, and the green, blue, and red combine for one fun children's card! I just love how you carried the sentiment and design all the way through to the inside too! Thanks for joining in with Deedee's progressive challenge, and we hope to see you again next month :)

This is so cute! Love the bold colors. I am grateful that you joined us in our Challenge and we have a new one starting today. Please link with us again at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you an inspirational verse as spoken by Jesus to them that believe from John 14:21 and it says, "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." A blessed week to you always.
